Our founding vision is to be the voice of the Tamil Community and to bring awareness to the people of the United Kingdom and the International Community the issues affecting Tamil people in the United Kingdom, in the island of Sri Lanka and around the world.
Our vision for lasting peace and security is through a permanent political settlement to the Tamil national question by recognising the Tamil people’s right to self-determination and self-rule in their Homeland in the North-East of the island of Sri Lanka.
Our organisation will be the bridging voice between the British Tamil Community and the Tamil people in the island of Sri Lanka
To respect and promote the rich and ancient traditions and values of the Tamil people;
To defend the Tamil people from forces which threaten their identity and their very existence;
To campaign for the Tamil people’s collective right to self-determination in the island of Sri Lanka;
To campaign for Tamil people’s freedom adhering to international and UK national laws in a non-violent manner;
We will harness the skills and the knowledge of the members of the forum, well-wishers and significant others including human rights defenders and the mainstream decision makers in the UK to alleviate the sufferings of the Tamils in the Island of Sri Lanka;
Helping Tamil people to rebuild their lives affected by the war and empower our people in the North-East of Sri Lanka;
To campaign for establishing the truth and delivering justice for all victims of war in Sri Lanka through an international justice mechanism; and
To address the root cause to the conflict by an internationally supported political settlement that recognises the right to self-determination of Tamil people within the democratic framework underpinned by the international laws, covenants and conventions.

Aims & activities
NTA (UK) organises Tamil New Year and Deepavali Celebrations annually for the benefit of Tamil families living in the UK. It helps to promote Tamil language and Culture especially amongst the children of Tamil origin by supporting Tamil schools, and arts, music and dance in the events it organises. NTA (UK) donates money to charities both in the UK and abroad whenever it can.
Tamil Youth Organisation (TYO) of United Kingdom is a non profit organisation established on the 22nd November 2004 and is an establishment that focuses on uniting the Tamil youths across the UK and to help promote & understand our unique language, history, culture and identity.
TYO aims to enrich the knowledge of Tamil youths with our ethnic background and to provide a better understanding of both political and humanitarian issues that affect our home land. Through this we aim to make them better identify themselves amongst the multicultural society of the UK.

Akshaya Trust Committed to the care of the helpless, forsaken, mentally ill, old, sick, roadside destitute living and dying on the streets of Madurai by providing healthy food, love, and opportunity to rehabilitate, thereby restoring human dignity.
A Worthy Cause
Akshaya’s Helping in H.E.L.P. Trust was established as a charitable organization supporting the needy in Madurai, India in 2002.
Utilizing his own personal savings, Narayanan Krishnan fed around 30 people. In 2003, he began to serve feshly-cooked meals, and has since served over 1.7 million meals as of August 2011.
Expanding the visibility to a much larger audience, in 2010, Akshaya USA was founded to support Akshaya’s Helping in H.E.L.P. Trust. In addition to supporting the feeding of the hungry and starving on the streets of Madurai, Akshaya USA gives support to people with a variety of needs, such as the sick, mentally ill, helpless homeless, elderly, disabled, victims of rape or violence, those filthy or in need of medical care and those deserted by families or left dying on the street.
